Bethel Baptist Church Reopening Guidelines

We look forward to again worshiping together at Bethel. However, we still do not have a vaccine or effective treatment for the COVID19 virus and precautions are necessary. These guidelines have been recommended by the White House Coronavirus Task Force and we will follow them until further changes are required.

We will only have church services at first and not Sunday School. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m.

When you enter the church, we request you use hand sanitizer which will be available. We will not hand out bulletins, but Pastor will have the schedule up on the television monitor. Please take your seat and do not mingle as we usually do.

Please sit with your household family unit and social distance from anyone else. We have enough room in the chapel for each household unit to be at least 6 feet away from any other. Leave an empty row between seating (rows are marked). We will have additional seating available downstairs if additional space is needed for social distancing.

We will not have a worship leader; Pastor will conduct the service. We will not sing hymns, use the hymnals or pew Bibles for now (these are possible sources of transmitting the virus). Please bring your own Bible! Pastor will use recorded music in addition to any organ or piano live presentations.

There will not be an offering basket passed around but it will be available by the door when exiting. We are also working to make online giving available on our church website at www.bethelbaptist.net.

Wearing of a mask is highly recommended. Bring your own if you have one. We will have extra masks available for those who desire one. Please avoid making physical contact with each other during the service. Pastor will dismiss by rows to prevent any difficulty with social distancing on exit.

If you have any sickness, fever or persistent cold or cough it is requested you remain home. If you have any physical condition (especially in those above 65) that would make exposure particularly harmful, it is recommended you remain home and watch the service on the church website.

Please use hand sanitizer after using the bathroom.

We look forward to the day we can get back to worshipping like we did before COVID19. But for now, we are just glad to be able to worship together in some way and must take all precautions to keep healthy!
