Bethel News
You’ve probably heard already that we plan to open Bethel this coming Sunday, May 31st. In our attempt to make our church as safe as possible, we will have these restrictions:
We would appreciate it if you would indicate that you plan to attend the service as we will have "assigned seats" this week. We will try to place people on the side of the church that they usually sit on. Every other pew will be taped off so that we will use 5 pews on the left and 5 pews on the right for social distancing. It's possible that we can use the add-on room, also. I will email a seating chart on Saturday. It will also be posted at the church Sunday morning.
You will see the hymnals and Bibles in the middle of the pews being used. This is to indicate that there can be someone on the left of the pew and someone else on the right of the pew.
The Worship Service will begin at 10:30. There will be no Sunday School classes. It would be helpful if everyone will come a little early for seating purposes. We will only use the two front entrance doors (not any of the ones to the basement.) Masks are recommended. If someone does not have one, we can supply it.
There will be no bulletins. (Announcements will be on the screens.) There will be no congregational singing. The offering plates will be at the 2 front entrances. People can place their offering in them before or after church. When we leave the building after the worship service, we will have the back rows leave first so the front pews will be the last to exit.
If you have questions or suggestions, please let me know. We want to make sure everyone is comfortable when we have our first service back. It has been w-a-y too long!
Health Reports
Jody Bates came home on Wednesday, May 20th,but the chemo treatments took a lot out of him. He was weak, tired, and nauseated. His white blood cell count is way down, and he may have to have a blood transfusion.
Shelly Beaty will have surgery on her eye on Tuesday, June 2nd. They will put a drain in to try to release some of the pressure.
Debbie Gregory’s hip replacement surgery has been rescheduled for June 9th, and she would appreciate our prayers.
Pat Miles is scheduled for knee replacement surgery on June 11th.
Ike is dealing with back pain issues.
Loril fell this week putting a fence around her garden. She banged up her elbow and isn’t sure that it isn’t broken. X-rays didn’t show a break, but she will be having another X-ray.
Please pray for Nelvin as he deals with some health issues.
